Located at the far western end of Formosa Beach, Areeiro Beach features a mix of black sand and pebbles, framed by the beauty of the cliffs. It offers a more secluded and rugged feel than the main tourist beaches in Funchal.

How to Get There
Walk to the westernmost tip of Praia Formosa in Funchal. It is the section closest to the tunnel that leads toward Câmara de Lobos.

- Terrain: The amount of sand vs. pebbles changes depending on the winter tides.
