The Fio Viewpoint (Miradouro do Fio) offers a privileged and dizzying view of the ocean and the sheer cliffs of the western coast. It provides a unique perspective of the old “fio” (wire) system used to transport goods up and down these massive precipices.

How to Get There
Located just south of the Ponta do Pargo lighthouse. Follow signs for “O Fio” or the restaurant of the same name.
