Boca da Corrida | Viewpoint | Jardim da Serra
Briefly
Sitting at an altitude of approximately 1200 metres, the Boca da Corrida viewpoint offers a panoramic view over Curral das Freiras valley and the central massif. It is one of the highest accessible points by road in the region, offering a grand look at the “backbone” of Madeira.

How to Get There
Located in the highest part of the parish of Jardim da Serra. Follow the main road uphill past Boca dos Namorados until the paved road ends.

Important to Know
- Caminho Real: This is the starting point of the historical PR 12 — Caminho Real da Encumeada trek.
- Pico Grande: From here, you get a clear view of the prominent Pico Grande summit.
- Atmosphere: Often windy and cold due to its exposed position on the mountain ridge.
