Portinho Beach, located at the eastern end of Jardim do Mar, is a world-renowned mecca for surfing. This pebble beach offers excellent conditions for big-wave surfing and has hosted several international competitions, providing a raw and powerful connection with the Atlantic.

Access: Pedestrian access from the Jardim do Mar promenade.

How to Get There
Walk to the eastern side of Jardim do Mar village. The beach is located at the end of the stone promenade, right where the village meets the cliffs of Prazeres.

Important to Know
- Surf Mecca: Known for having some of the best “right-hand” point breaks in the world. It is strictly for experienced surfers.
- The Promenade: The walk along the sea wall to reach the beach is spectacular, especially at high tide when the waves crash against the stone.
- Sunsets: One of the most peaceful spots to watch the sun go down while listening to the sound of rolling pebbles.
