The Contenda Viewpoint allows you to peacefully contemplate the southeastern coast of Madeira. From this elevated spot, you can clearly see points of interest such as the Ponta de São Lourenço peninsula, the city of Santa Cruz, and the distant Desertas Islands rising from the Atlantic.

How to Get There
Located in the hills of Gaula (Santa Cruz). Follow the local signs for “Miradouro” ascending from the main coastal highway (VE1).
