The Bica da Cana Viewpoint offers a broad perspective over the São Vicente valley, marked by the density of the Laurissilva forest. At an altitude of 1560m, it provides a unique look at the island’s central mountain range from the edge of the high plateau.

How to Get There
Located on the ER110 road on the Paúl da Serra plateau. Look for the sign “Bica da Cana” and the entrance to the wind farm area.

Important to Know
- The View: On clear mornings, you can see the sunrise between Pico Ruivo and Pico do Areeiro across the valley.
- Wind Farm: The viewpoint is located right next to the massive wind turbines of the plateau.
- Picnic Area: There is a well-equipped rest area with stone BBQ grills nearby.
- Sea of Clouds: One of the most reliable spots to see the clouds filling the northern valley below your feet.
