The second pyromusical show of the 2026 edition of the Madeira Festival Atlântico took place in the middle of the bay of Funchal. It was part of the International Fire Competition of Artifício da Madeira (CIFAM) and was organised by the Chinese company Nanchang Fireworks Industries Co., Ltd. The event was arranged by the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture, through the Regional Directorate of Tourism. This week’s display used the theme ‘Flowers on Fire: The Blossoming of Light’ and combined light, colour, and emotion to impress the audience. The competition is designed to award both the ‘Trophy of the Atlântico,’ decided by a jury, and the ‘Madeira Tão Tua Trophy,’ chosen by the public. Public votes can be submitted through tombolas placed in the Plaza Madeira shopping centre, at the Tourist Information Office of the Regional Directorate of Tourism on Avenida Arriaga, and on the night of each show at the Funchal Pier. The results of the International Firework Competition of Madeira will be announced on the 27th of June.
