The Regional Command of the Public Security Police in Madeira seized seven illegal weapons during an operation in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos. The weapons were classified as class A under the Legal Regime of Weapons and Ammunition. According to the press release, the case began after the PSP collected information that led the competent judicial authority to issue search warrants. Officers then carried out searches in homes and found the weapons, which were intended for sale. The PSP said the operation was part of its ongoing work to prevent, inspect and investigate crimes linked to illegal weapons. It added that these actions aim to curb the possession, circulation and sale of weapons. The force also said this work contributes to the security and tranquility of the community.
