The meteorological station of the Portuguese Institute of Atmosphere and Sea (IPMA) in Lugar de Baixo measured the strongest rainfall on Madeira at the start of Tuesday night. Between 21:00 and 22:00, it registered 11.8 mm of precipitation, which matches the yellow warning threshold for rain. The heaviest period came between 21:11 and 21:40, when 3.9mm fell in 10 minutes and 8.8mm accumulated in 30 minutes. Of the 18 IPMA weather stations on the island of Madeira, 13 recorded rainfall on Tuesday, but most totals were far below those seen in Ponta do Sol. The second-highest reading was 6.1mm at the Santo da Serra station. No rain was recorded at Cancela/SRPC, Funchal/Lido, Prazeres, Ponta do Pargo, Pico do Areeiro, and Porto Santo.
