For the last month and a half, I’ve been noticing an interesting trend on the market.
Against the backdrop of a large number of new development projects, prices for finished resale properties have risen sharply recently. Demand was high: entering a construction-stage project and waiting several years doesn’t work for everyone.
Some people want to buy a home right now, some are planning to use Portugal’s youth program, and others are counting on bank financing and mortgage rates.
As a result, at a certain point, resale prices ended up being significantly inflated.
Now the market has calmed down a bit — and I’m already seeing a price correction. Truly interesting ready-to-move-in properties are appearing at a more reasonable market value, including in the €300–450k range.
But it’s important to be ready to act: either have the capital for the down payment, or start communicating with the bank in advance and understand your financing options.
If you’re already in Madeira and looking for a finished property, or if you want to receive interesting options as they appear on the market, write to me. I’ll put together a current selection tailored to your budget and needs.
