Two young Scottish tourists were assisted on Sunday night in Funchal after becoming unwell following the alleged use of hashish. According to JM, the pair asked for help while staying at a Local Accommodation (AL) in Rua dos Frias. They told rescue teams that they felt sick after smoking the substance and then called 112 for assistance. The tourists, aged 19 and 21, are on vacation in Madeira and said this was their first drug-related experience. A team from the Portuguese Red Cross (CVP) attended the scene and provided the necessary care. After being treated, both chose not to go to hospital or be taken to the emergency department. Instead, they insisted on remaining at their accommodation.
