Regional Road 110 (ER110) has been closed to traffic on the section between Portela and Caminho do Gambão in the parish of Porto da Cruz after a landslide. The closure was announced by the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructures through the Regional Directorate for Roads. Officials said there is currently no estimate for when the road will reopen. The decision was taken because of safety concerns linked to the affected area. Authorities said the measure is intended to protect people and property while the site is assessed. The condition of the road and surrounding terrain is now being evaluated. Until that work is completed, the closure will remain in place.
