The Cherry Festival (Festa da Ginja) returns to Curral das Freiras on 25–26 July 2026, celebrating one of Madeira’s most traditional local products — ginja (sour cherry).
Over two days, visitors can enjoy local gastronomy, folklore performances, live music, craft products and demonstrations dedicated to cherry-based food and drinks.
